To Be A Kid Again...

Her exact words, "Look Mom, I am a Monster Cooker". I laughed to myself and thought, whatever a "Monster Cooker" is? She must have heard me, because she told me all about it. The Monster Cookers, are Cooks, but scary looking ones that keep all the bad people away. They don't make very tasty food, but people come from all over Indiana just to see them. The people don't even finish their food because it tastes so bad. She goes on and on about this. Yes it was a great laugh. Because the people are only coming from Indiana to see them, and I have yet to ever see one of these "Monster Cookers" as she calls them. But I guess Im just not looking in the right places.
I hope my kids keep going with their imaginations. They have no worries or a care in the world. I remember when I was a kid and couldn't wait to become a "grownup" Man alive, what was I thinking? Now there are responsibilities, BIG responsibilities at that. Bills... Many worries that come along with being an adult. And Ive heard both my kids tell me they can't wait to be an adult so they can move out, or do this and that.. I tell them, No you don't want to. You don't understand, be a kid for as long as you can. (Im not saying they can live with me until they are 30.) But have fun. Use that imagination and play. That is your purpose right now. And before I know it, they won't be little anymore. :(

  10. Oh how the time flies! One day you're 9 years old and the next you're 35, married with children! LOL We start wishing our life away so young, when we're young we can't wait to be older and when we're older we dream of being young again. I guess there something to be said about living in the moment, but that lesson is not learned until you're "older" LOL

Thanks for stopping by, I'm following you back. Great post!
