Recently I found a company called BBTJerky.com. I knew we had to try it out, because my son LOVES Beef Jerky. Okay, I do too. But not as much as he does. We were sent two bags of the Original Beef Jerky Slab Style.
This is the boy who loves Beef Jerky. And yes he had already opened the bag of it and tried it before I could take a picture. His exact words were it lasts longer than any other kind he has tried, because its chewy, and it keeps it's flavor. I thought it was chewy and tasteful as well. I also thought it wasn't dried out like some are.
The pieces or should I say slabs were nice and big too! BBTJerky.com really did a good job with their jerky!

there are no preservatives no added MSG no nitrite no erythorbate no
artificial ingredients.
2. Marinate 12 to 24 hours.
Jerky
Direct takes very good care of making sure the flavor is marinated
through out the product, not just an outside flavoring. The raw product
goes in, spices and flavorings are put in as well. Mixed up very well
and then let it marinate for 12 to 24 hours.
3. Use Real Hickory Smoke
There
are a lot of producers of jerky that will use a liquid smoke for a
hickory smoked product. J.D. jerky is actually hickory wood that is
burned and then the smoke is piped into the cookers. J.D. controls the
wet temperature as well as the dry temperature making sure there are no
cold spots or hot spots in the ovens. The operation is very, very state
of the art.

I think the Sweet & Spicy sounds good but so does the Hickory Smoked. We love Jerky so much in this house, I make my own. Hubby goes deer hunting and I make jerky out of a lot of it. Love to try others too though!
