CVS Trip 11/26

Today's CVS trip was short and ohhh so sweet!

Here's the breakdown:

(1) Oral B Vitality Toothbrush $23.00 (I used a raincheck from way back when for it) used (1) $10/1 coupon =$13.00 got back 13 ECBs.

(2) Colgate Optic Toothpastes $4.79 each used (2) $1.50/1 = $3.29 each and got back 4 ECBs for purchasing 2.

(1) Colgate Total $2.87 used (1) $1/1 =$1.87 got back 2.87 ECBs

(2) CVS Brand Batteries $3.99 each plus for the new weeks ad BOGO so (2) packs for $3.99 and got back 3.99 ECBs. (My local CVS ad starts at 4pm on Saturdays, so after 4pm I can get both ads at the same time and get both deals. SWEET)

Good Habits Soap Time: Squid Soap {Review}

Wanna take the guesswork out of hand washing for children? Well if you do, I have a great product for you to check out. Squid Soap motivates children to stay at the sink long enough to get a proper hand washing.

My daughter whom is 7 years old loves using this soap. Hey, as long as she is washing her hands when she's suppose to, that's all that matters to me. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has children. I wish I would have came across this company sooner!

Sara, which is the owner, was so nice and sent me a few samples to try out for this review. First I tried the Organic Caramel Latte Body Butter Scrub. "Wake up and smell the coffee in this luxurious scrub! Exfoliate with sugar and coffee while moisturizing your skin with rich shea butter!" It was truly amazing. It smells so good. And after using it for the first time my skin felt so renewed and was left feeling very soft.

Next I tried the Organic Body Butter Pumpkin Cheesecake. Oh my, I promise you these scents all smell good enough to eat.. Seriously. I then tried the Organic Body Butter Candy Cane, again YUM!!! I am a huge fan of body butters, and these 2 were awesome. Actually after working a hard days work, I came home and had my kids rub it onto my feet after working. It made my feet feel really good. And of course smell good too. I definitely recommend using one of her body butters after taking a shower and applying these yummy scents onto your skin. You will then find out how soft and moisturized your skin will feel. Especially during the winter months, this helps tremendously. "A thick rich body butter made with organic Shea Butter hailed for its protecting and emollient properties. With the addition of Vitamin B3 to benefit skin color and decrease inflammation and Allantoin to stimulate healing this body butter is a must to promote healthy skin."

Finally I tried the Organic Body Wash Pepper Berry Wreath. It was a very nice smelling body wash too. It left my skin feeling clean, smelling good, and hydrated. "Fabulous and gentle sulfate free body wash with a simple ingredient list."

Again I enjoyed sampling and using all of the products mentioned above. With the holidays approaching, these products and her other products listed on her Etsy Shop would make great gifts for anyone.

Designerliners Review and {Giveaway!} Ends 12/20 (CLOSED)

I recently got to try out a new Biodegradable trash bag. Designerliners are stylish and fun to use anywhere, in your home or office. Usually I do not buy a special bag to use in my trash cans in my bedroom and bathrooms. I just use bags I got from shopping at grocery stores and drug stores. I do admit, those are rather boring. I was sent a package of the Black Leopard print bags. So I decided to put one in my bedroom trash can first.

I really think this bag made a huge difference in the way my trash can looks. Its so much better than a boring reused bag from a shopping trip. "Dress The Mess" is Designerliners motto. I feel that was choosen well.

Designerliners designs are located on the inside of the bags, so every time trash is put into the bag, the design is showing. That's a pretty clever idea, if you ask me! Right now this company has 10 different color/patterns available. You can also custom design your bags if you choose. I really like the Navy Blue Polka Dots pattern. This would look great in the kids' bathroom in my home.

Baer's Pantry Review and {Giveaway!} Ends 12/12 (CLOSED)

I recently had the opportunity to try a few jams that tasted so Fresh and Wonderful. Baer's Pantry is a family owned business that has been making their great tasting jams and syrups for the past 20 years!

The first thing I was so excited about was seeing the cute labels they put on their jams. They are absolutely adorable! They each have their own scripture from the Bible on them too. I think that is a wonderful idea!

Let me tell you, if you haven't tried Baer's Pantry  Jams you really are missing out. I can't really decide which one I liked the best. They all had a unique taste. They all were very good and high quality jams. I tried the Jalapeno Pepper Jam on a plain bagel. It was really, really good that way! The other 3 flavors we used to make peanut butter and jam sandwiches. This jam would be great for so many other ways to eat as well. My daughter said her favorite was the Chokecherry, and my son loved the Raspberry. Like I said, I can't decide on a favorite because they were all so good.

When I came across Planet Earth Essential Oils not long ago, I knew I had to try out this company. Because I love Aromatherapy a lot, I knew this would be worth checking into. I was sent the INTRIGUE Essential Oil Perfume Balm. Oh the scent it has to it is great! It is a crisp fresh citrus smell.  It's got a light, non overbearing scent. Its not too strong, but lasts all day long. I think it smells really good, and when I first applied it to my wrist, my daughter just had to take a whiff and she liked it a lot as well. So she had to start wearing it to school every morning.

To be honest I had never tried an oil perfume before this. But I think it is now my favorite type. Its not greasy, like one would think being an oil. This little tin will last a very long time, because you use so little when applying it to your skin. The USO will deliver the Cheer card to military families across the country.

For every postcard received by November 30, 2012, Cheerios will donate $1 to the USO to help fund programs designed to support and lift the spirits of troops and their families. To kick off the campaign, Cheerios has already donated $150,000 and will give up to a $100,000 more based on the number of postcards received from specially-marked boxes.

My Kroger Shopping Trip 11/8

Okay so I decided to check out Kroger one more time today. Im glad I did. Because they had everything I went for. The only bad this is, I cant do a breakdown for you because I went through the U Scan lane and it printed funky and I just dont have the time to try to remember the prices and what coupons I used. I did save 58% though. Not too good, but not the worst Ive ever did either.

So on this trip I spent $33.39 and saved $48.92 not terribly bad.

BBTJerky.com Review and {Giveaway!} Ends 11/23 (CLOSED)

Recently I found a company called BBTJerky.com. I knew we had to try it out, because my son LOVES Beef Jerky. Okay, I do too. But not as much as he does. We were sent two bags of the Original Beef Jerky Slab Style.

This is the boy who loves Beef Jerky. And yes he had already opened the bag of it and tried it before I could take a picture. His exact words were it lasts longer than any other kind he has tried, because its chewy, and it keeps it's flavor. I thought it was chewy and tasteful as well. I also thought it wasn't dried out like some are.

The pieces or should I say slabs were nice and big too! BBTJerky.com really did a good job with their jerky!

There are a lot of producers of jerky that will use a liquid smoke for a hickory smoked product. J.D. jerky is actually hickory wood that is burned and then the smoke is piped into the cookers. J.D. controls the wet temperature as well as the dry temperature making sure there are no cold spots or hot spots in the ovens. The operation is very, very state of the art.

So again, my son absolutely loved this beef jerky, and he says he would recommend it to anyone who wants to try out a good jerky.
